Risk & Responsibility
Last updated: 19 Oct 2026
KGB Algo builds software that follows trading rules defined by our clients. Please read this page carefully before working with us. By using our services, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks and responsibilities described here.
1. What we do and what we don't
KGB Algo is a software development service. We convert trading rules that you define into software that connects to your broker's official API.
We do not:
- Provide investment advice, research, recommendations or tips
- Sell, suggest or modify trading strategies
- Manage, hold or have access to your money
- Take any share of your profits, or promise any returns
KGB Algo is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an investment adviser, research analyst or portfolio manager.
2. Trading involves risk
Trading in stocks, futures, options and other securities carries a high risk of loss, including the loss of more than your initial capital in some derivative positions. Automation does not reduce this risk. Software follows your rules exactly as agreed, including rules that lose money. Past results, back-tests and demonstrations do not guarantee future results.
3. Technology risks
Automated trading depends on systems outside our control. Orders may be delayed, rejected, partly filled, duplicated or executed at a different price than expected because of:
- Internet, power or computer failures
- VPS or hosting problems
- Broker API outages, errors, limits or changes
- Exchange halts, circuit limits, freak trades or sudden volatility
- Slippage, low liquidity or wide spreads
- Changes in broker or exchange rules after delivery
We test the software carefully, but no software is free of errors, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
4. Your responsibilities
As the client, you are responsible for:
- Defining your trading rules and confirming that the written plan we prepare matches them
- Testing the software with us, first in a test setup or with the smallest possible quantity, before using normal position sizes
- Monitoring your positions and the software during market hours, and stopping it or acting manually when needed
- Keeping a way to manage positions manually, such as your broker's app
- Your capital, position sizes, margin and all trading decisions
- Keeping your broker login, API keys, PIN and OTP secure, and changing them after handover if you shared any with us
- Paying all brokerage, taxes, broker API fees, VPS charges and other third-party costs
- Following SEBI, exchange and broker rules that apply to your trading
5. Regulatory compliance
Retail algorithmic trading in India is regulated by SEBI, the exchanges and your broker. Requirements such as API registration, static IP addresses, order limits and strategy approval can differ by broker and may change over time. We explain the requirements we are aware of for your setup, but it is your responsibility to make sure your account and trading activity follow the current rules.
6. No guarantee
We do not guarantee any profit, return, win rate or performance. We do not guarantee that your strategy will work as you expect in live markets. The software's only purpose is to follow the rules you approved.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, KGB Algo is not liable for any trading losses, missed trades, lost profits or indirect losses arising from the use of the software, market conditions, technology failures, third-party systems or your trading decisions. Our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the development fee you paid for that project. Full terms are in our Terms of Service.
